Happy to upgrade in future, but for now I need a decent amount to get started e.g. I would like a decent selection of instruments to choose from. Some apps I have tried don't even have more than one drum kit. Using loops feels like cheating.Ĭontains plenty of instruments. I want to create my own music from scratch. Many apps I have tried seem to be based on loops, so they are just remixing other people's music. Free would be best to get me into making music. Reasonable price would be a couple of dollars per month, not $5+ per month. I don't want to commit to a year after 5 minutes. At least has a good free level so I can try it for a while and isn't too expensive if one day I will need to pay. very limited free version, very few instruments, being loop based instead of letting me make my own music.įree. I have tried some tutorials and wasted a lot of time only to discover the app is not for me e.g. I would like something that ticks these boxes please:Įasy to use - I tried various apps but they are confusing, hence me asking this rather than just trying more. I have tried quite a few apps and have been left frustrated. I assume I need something for the Mac instead and may just play around on the tablet wuth headphones when no keyboard. Is that a far superior device to use and if so what program should I use? Start with Garageband or straight to something else? It has more ports whereas my tablet only has one, so I can't use headphones as well as a keyboard with it, unless I get anither device.
